Sports Jazba presents an exclusive interview with Irish cricketer Niall O'Brien. Niall O'Brien is doing a great job for Ireland cricket as a wicket-keeper batsman. He was also the part of team who upset Pakistan in World Cup 2007.

How're the days going in Sri Lanka?

Days have been very busy , Lots of training and meetings and some practice games.

Do you have any difficulty of weather conditions here in Sri Lanka?

We are getting used to the weather conditions but its very hard when you come from Europe to this heat but we were expecting it.

How're the preparations for the mega event?

Preparation has been excellent. Lots of practice and some games. Wickets have been good and the Hotel is very nice so were are being treated well.

You've your best score of T20i, 50 runs, at Colombo, and in the practice match also you played a superb knock of 67 off 49 balls against Zimbabwe. Do you feel comfortable while playing in this region
of the world?

I really enjoy batting in the sub continent and hope to play more tournaments like the BPL and IPL and any other competitions I am available for to show this part of the World my skill.

How do you feel being the part of the team who beat Pakistan in World Cup 2007?

Its a great team to be part of the Irish team. We have great team spirit and some exciting players. Our victory over Pakistan in 2007 set us on our way to becoming the team we are today .

Which team do you consider the favourite for this T20 World Cup?

I think the Favourites will be a Pakistan or the West Indies

Which player you would love to watch in this T20 World Cup?

I enjoy watching Chris Gayle and know him very well and always nice to chat with him. He can be awesome on his day and he will be crucial to West Indies chances.

What is the main objective of your team for this world cup? Looking forward to qualify in Super Six stage only or have a mind set to play further?

We want to get through the group 1st and foremost and if we can do that then we want to get to the knock out stage but if we get through the group it will be another excellent achievement.

Whom do you consider the key players of your team?

Our Key players are Paul Stirling with the bat and Trent Johnston with the ball.

Share some memories about the match against Pakistan in World Cup 2007, when your team shocked the cricket world by doing an up-set?

I remember the victory over Pakistan very well. It was a cloudy day and the wicket was green. Once we won the toss we felt we could bowl them out cheaply but not so low. We were in real trouble but Porterfield and I out on some useful runs and I got in the zone and played as well as I have ever done,The wicket was very difficult as the ball was moving but I managed to hang in there and prosper to set up a great win
